The body is from the last year Model T (1927) which was a transition year when Ford phased out the antiquated ’T’ and started production of Edsel Ford’s much more modern Model A. The frame was strengthened and modified to accept a 400hp Chevrolet 350ci engine and 3sp + OD GM automatic transmission. The engine was built up from a 1970’s block, and was overboard .030 and fitted with ‘shorty’ stainless steel headers, a Holley 650cfm carburetor, and performance camshaft. It produces approximately 400hp according to the builder. The gearbox is a new GM 700R4 Turbo Hydramatic with 3 speeds plus OD. Rear differential is a Ford 9” with 4-link system. A So-Cal Speedshop front axle assembly was were installed with disk brakes and adjustable coil-over spring/shock units. New ‘Dolphin’ gauges sit on a cast aluminum dash are featured in the spartan interior. Steering column and steering wheel are custom. The rear trunk area featured a custom aluminum fuel cell and is ‘Tubbed’ to accept wide rear tires. Custom two-tone silver metallic paint and Cragar 15” staggered wheel/tires complete the specification with 185/65/15 in front and 275/60/15 in the rear. The paint and bodywork is done to a very high standard, as is the undercarriage which is sprayed with bed linter and detailed.
