Description:
This is an example of a one-owner BMW 3-Series Cabriolet with the desirable 'IS' specification which gives you the 320hp engine, DSG 7 speed double clutch gearbox, 'M' tuned suspension and 'M' 19" alloy wheels along with sport seats and steering wheel. MSRP was over $80,000 in 2011.
This car was bought new by a Calgary resident from Kelowna BMW, and followed the owner to Palm Springs and back to Calgary over the last 13 years. The car has almost exclusively enjoyed dry weather, and as a result the undercarriage is free from corrosion.
The car has never been in a collision, though it did suffer road damage from a wayward tire on the freeway. A paint meter analysis reveals consistent paint depth on all panels of 200 +/- 25 micrometers indicating (in the opinion of the author) factory paint. The bonnet has slightly thicker paint than the rest of the car, indicating that it may have some clear coat blending. The damage from the road debris appears confined to front bumper which has presumably been replaced.
The on-board servicing diagnostics show the maintenance is up to date, apart from the brake fluid which is due to be changed.
The car comes complete with the original books, Bill of Sale, and US importation documents.
